This class is part of the Clinical Labratory Scientist Training program and is not currently available to the public. 
 

OBJECTIVES: these are the main learning outcomes for each course and sub-outcomes will appear within the course materials and instructional events

  • Apply laboratory safety practices, Bloodborne Pathogen standards, and institutional guidelines to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior through adherence to patient confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and professional standards.
  • Explain and apply principles of quality assurance, quality control, quality management, and continuous process improvement in laboratory practice.
  • Utilize laboratory information systems, electronic medical records, and laboratory technologies while demonstrating understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Describe principles of laboratory operations, workflow and resource management, process improvement methodologies, and professional career development skills.
